# Standard output

The *standard output* plugin prints ingested data to standard output.

## Configuration parameters

### Command line

This example directs the plugin to gather [CPU](https://docs.fluentbit.io/manual/4.1/data-pipeline/inputs/cpu-metrics) usage metrics and print them out to the standard output in a human-readable way:
